We are very much part of our local Worle and wider Weston-Super-Mare community and communities are stronger when everyone works together.
Contributing To Our Community
We take direct action to “give back” to our community, for example by:
We weeded the reception playground at a local school.
We painted sheds at a local primary school.
We staffed the bag-drop at the Weston Half Marathon.
Some of our members took part in optional attendance at the Worle Remembrance Day.
Understanding Our Community
We also believe that knowing about our local area helps foster a sense of community, and example activities we have undertaken include:
A walk around Worle learning about its history and points of interest.
We visited St Martin’s Church to learn from the vicar about its history and place in the community.
